We came up with an idea to illustrate this woman doing excessive shopping at some high end boutiques, dressed up in fancy clothes while at the same time a creditor is calling on her cell. She is drown in bills, but as she reaches out her pocket she finds no more money left there. Sounds like trouble!

Rita, the owner, previously had her store on Blogspot. When she came to me, she did mention that she wanted a website with a more “professional” look, organized, simple yet still feminine. The website has to be able to accommodate her store’s needs where its activity is focusing mainly on pre order products.

I’m very pleased that Rita was happy on how the website turned out, she sent me a package with a bunch of make up and skin care goodies in it, love them

Freddy already had the logo and color scheme preference. He just noted that for the back end he wanted to keep it as simple as possible. He wanted to have the data input processing for the catalog to be like the one they have in Multiply and Facebook which is allowing the shop owner to upload bulk pictures at a time, type in product names, pricing, descriptions and that is it. Shop owner can manage his news, blog and press publication within the same back end. We also utilize the blog RSS to function as a newsletter subscription.

A special feature for the shop’s layout is that the theme switches to a “sleeping theme” from 8 PM to 7 AM Jakarta time when the shop is closed, and will switch back to a “boutique theme” from 7 AM to 8 PM when the shop is opened.

Empanada Kitchen already had a website. However Bernarda, the president of Empanada Kitchen, told me that she wanted to have a blog to be added to the site where they can share updates about promotions, events, reviews and special menus for the customers. She preferred to have a kitchen theme with a lady making some empanadas. Color palette used in this blog is similar with their homepage’s pallete. We did a few customization on their existing website and put the latest blog entry on the homepage so it can be easily notified by the visitors.

Working on their layout was a mouth watering experience and I enjoyed every single bit of it. Ladies, please let me know when you ship overseas!

We also made a sweet custom logo for a better presentation of her business’ image. Lastly, matching business card and sticker designs were added to complete the rest of the branding package.
